When I started my job, I noticed that the Instagram page lacked personality and didn’t appeal to its younger student audience. Every flyer looked different and was overloaded with text. There were also very few Reels and not much engagement.
To improve this, I developed a distinct color palette and a grid formula featuring three standardized flyer formats to match the aesthetic I wanted to create. Instead of using heavy blocks of text that people might ignore, we incorporated vibrant, bold text to catch attention and encourage viewers to read the captions and descriptions.
I also got creative by making silly and relatable videos and posts that highlighted the Craft Center and its workshops—while also encouraging students to engage and see the Craft Center as a fun place to be.
